Industrial Help List

The goal of the committee is to assist and support industry's environmental efforts through expansion of information exchange and education services to environmental professionals concerned with industrial water, wastewater and other environmental related issues.

The committee sponsors several activities to support our goal:

  • Annual industrial conference
  • Awards program to recognize excellence in industrial pollution control systems
  • Seminars on industrial pollution control issues of special concern

This committee also helps plan the annual GAWP Industrial Conference.

The Industrial Committee Chair is Barbara Whiteside (770) 641-9756 or barbara.whiteside@rmtinc.com.

GAWP's Membership Committee works to increase member involvement and participation in our organizations. We are involved in a wide variety of activities, such as serving as a focal point for members who want to become more involved, surveying GAWP's membership at large to determine how the organization can better serve its members, and attempting to link GAWP to other important organizations involved in water and pollution control.

We are always seeking individuals who are interested in learning about the GAWP, and who are interested in an opportunity to be of service to the industry.

The Membership Committee chair is David Hatabian (770) 422-1902. For information on meeting location, directions, or on GAWPin general, contact David Hatabian Membership Committee Chair, at (770) 422-1902.  We welcome the participation of any GW&PCA member!

The GAWP Program Committee is responsible for organizing the technical program and training opportunities for GAWP sponsored symposiums, workshops, and conferences.

The Program Committee is an active committee, and welcomes those individuals who wish to participate in building our program.  Dieter Franz  (phone  (770) 952-8643 or E-mail franzd@cdm.com) is the committee chair and should be contacted if you have questions or are interested in being more involved.

Committee Officers and Committee Members List

This committee is responsible for planning and organizing sessions related to equipment and facility maintenance. The Maintenance Committee Chair is Bill Johnson (706) 529-1310.

Attention All GAWP Members:

The GAWP Maintenance Committee is re-building for the new millennium and we need your help!

This committee serves one of the most diverse functions in our profession. Maintenance continues to grow with the high tech operation of today’s equipment while also relying on the simplicity and function of century old equipment and technology. This unique situation makes day to day maintenance of water and wastewater systems quite demanding. The GAWP Committee plans to draw from the vast knowledge contained within our membership and function as a source of information and know-how for all Georgia facilities to use.

Our plans are still growing, but include the following:

Grow overall GAWP Membership
Provide maintenance articles for GAWP Publications.
Form a GAWP maintenance "channel" which provides information for various maintenance issues such as:
"How To’s"
Q & A Forum
Materials Sourcing
PM Tips
Provide technical session programs
Work towards a maintenance mechanic certification program

How can you help?....
By joining our Committee!

What will be required of Committee members?

As much or little as you would like to participate. We will be supplying surveys to all Committee members that will be used to determine who has particular expertise in particular areas of maintenance.

How do you join the Committee?

Simply contact your district director or maintenance committee chairman and provide contact information. A maintenance committee survey will follow.

We look forward to the exciting and beneficial growth of this committee and kindly request your support and participation.
